Other components of your tour package run daily and can be taken before or after Alcatraz.
That could be 4 days before Alcatraz, or 1 Day before Alcatraz, or the afternoon after Alcatraz, or 2 days later… whenever you like!
THE EARLIER IN THE DAY THAT YOU GET STARTED, THE MORE HOP-OFF TIME YOU WILL HAVE. Your ticket starts when you first get on any bus and lasts for the rest of that day.
If you take the bus AFTER Alcatraz, your available hop-off time will be very limited.

The Ferry ride from Pier 33 takes 10-15 minutes to get to Alcatraz.

Hop off the bus at any of 20 stops, to check out great attractions and neighborhoods. Walk around at your leisure. Then hop back on another bus coming by and continue the loop.
Primary Loop Operates: Daily from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Every 30 minutes (subject to change). Route is 2.5 hours. Last Bus returns to Fisherman’s Wharf circa 7:30 pm.
Start on any day you like, but your 2-day ticket is valid that day and the next.
You will travel over the Golden Gate Bridge where you can get off at the north end Vista Point stop. Walk out on the bridge at your own pace, or just stay for a quick, but spectacular view.
